Scottish Government Framework for the Provision of Interim Staff: FOI release

Information requested

Under the Freedom of Information [Scotland] Act 2002 we formally request the information listed below in relation to the Scottish Government's Framework for the Provision of Interim IT Staff Services and Provision of Interim Professional Staff Services.

[1] Total spend for each public body between 01 April 2023 – 30 June 2023 and to which agency (including agencies who are now no longer on the framework) for both Frameworks (Generation 3 & 4)?

[2] Number of jobs held by each agency at 30-June-23 (including agencies who are now no longer on the framework) for both frameworks (generation 3 & 4)?

Response

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested. We are unable to provide the number of job roles held for the 3rd or 4th generation of these frameworks by each agency at 30th June 2023. To ensure compliance with Data Protection Act requirements, we have changed the format in which we collate and hold management information for these frameworks from 1st April 2023. As such we no longer hold data which allows a breakdown of individual job roles (i.e. number of individuals) per agency/framework. Consequently, we are unable to provide the data requested.

This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested.

Please find the information requested that we do hold at the Annex attached.

The information you have requested in relation to the Total spend for each public body between 01 April 2023 – 30 June 2023 and to which agency (including agencies who are now no longer on the framework) for the 3rd generation frameworks has already been provided in the response to your Freedom of Information Request FoI/20230037757. Under section 25(1) of FOISA, we do not have to give you information which is already reasonably accessible to you.

Annex A

Information in relation to the Scottish Government Frameworks for the Provision of Interim IT Staff Services and the Provision of Interim Professional Staff Services. Total spend for each public body between 01 April 2023 to 30 June 2023 and to which agency (including agencies who are now no longer on the framework) for the 4th generation Framework. NOTE: spend data for 3rd generation Framework already provided – see letter reference FoI/20230037757 dated 6 October 2023.
