Information requested
Details on annual Scottish Government funding provided to each Regional Improvement Collaborative (RIC), including a break down of what that funding was reported as used for.
Response
The Scottish Government first provided funding support to all 6 RICs in the school year 2018-19.
Information on the amounts provided to each RIC since 2018 are provided in the table below:

Notes:
- The figures for 2020‐21 covered 8 months, from August– March, to reflect a transition of funding arrangements from the academic to the financial year. All other years were for 12 months.
- The figures provided for financial year 2023‐24 reflect the full grant amounts offered to each RIC. Those funds have not yet been fully drawn down for the current financial year.
This funding was provided for and used to support the delivery of each RIC's regional improvement plan/s. This included support towards each RIC's Leadership and regional team/s, including for staff seconded from local authorities to lead on the design and delivery of regional improvement activities, events and supports, and for the infrastructure, IT and other material costs associated with those activities. RIC plans are available on request from each RIC and/or on local government websites.
