Lorna Slater MSP, Minister for Green Skills, Circular Economy and Biodiversity - Mobile phone: FOI release

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002

Information requested

I have read that on Martin Geissler's BBC Sunday Show Lorna Slater the Minister for Green Skills, Circular Economy and Biodiversity, revealed that she does not have a government phone.

  1. Was that statement true?
  2. If she does not have a government phone and urgent contact by telephone by or from the Minister is required, how is this achieved?

Response

Question 1:

Yes. The Minister for Green Skills, Circular Economy and Biodiversity has not requested, nor received, a government issued mobile phone.

Question 2:

If urgent contact is required, the Minister for Green Skills, Circular Economy and Biodiversity can be contacted by her ministerial private office via her mobile device issued by the Scottish Parliament.
