Please provide the net impact of the portion of the ScotRail pay deal funded by Transport Scotland on the 2022-23 accounts for Transport Scotland.

Response

The net cost of the ScotRail pay deal funded by Transport Scotland amounted to £14.6m, which enabled 5% salary increase for ScotRail staff.

It is worth noting that prudent budgeting requires organisations to make provisions for salary increase in their accounts.
