Former Cabinet Secretary for NHS Recovery, Health and Social Care data charges and devices: FOI release

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.


Information requested

1) Between December 27, 2021 and January 3, 2022 (inclusive), please provide a daily breakdown of the data usage of the following devices, supplied by the government to Michael Matheson.

1a) Government issued laptop.

1b) Government issued mobile phone.

1c) Government issued tablet

1d) Government issued 'Mi-Fi' device.

2) Please also provide the data bill, including any roaming charges, for the same time period, broken down by day for each device. If this is not available, please provide the monthly bill for that period for each relevant device.

I enclose a copy of some of the information you requested.

1) Between December 27, 2021 and January 3, 2022 (inclusive), please provide a daily breakdown of the data usage of the following devices, supplied by the government to Michael Matheson.

1a) Government issued laptop.

Michael Matheson was in possession of a government issued laptop between 27 December 2021 and 3 January 2022 (inclusive). Scottish Government laptops do not use a mobile number or sim card.

This is a formal notice under Section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not hold the information you have requested as the Scottish Government does not hold a record of the daily breakdown of data usage for the period specified.

1b) Government issued mobile phone.

Michael Matheson was not in possession of a government issued mobile phone between 27 December 2021 and 3 January 2022 (inclusive).

1c) Government issued tablet.

Michael Matheson was in possession of a government issued tablet between 27 December 2021 and 3 January 2022 (inclusive).

This is a formal notice under Section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not hold the information you have requested as the Scottish Government does not hold a record of the daily breakdown of data usage for the period specified.

1d) Government issued ‘Mi-Fi’ device.

Michael Matheson was in possession of a government issued Mi-Fi device between 27 December 2021 and 3 January 2022 (inclusive).
