Information requested

Clarification of how many Scottish Government civil servants currently live in England out of the total of civil servants employed, and whether you could also clarify how many pay tax to HMRC based on English tax Brackets.

Response

The information you requested is accurate as at 27/12/23. Please note that HMRC can notify us of changes to tax codes daily.

Scottish Government Employees: 16,345.

Colleagues who live in England: 280, all of whom paying English taxes.
