Information requested

1. To date, how many remedial service statements (RSS) have been issued to police officers since 1/10/2023 and if any were issued to what type of member?

2. How many officers due a remedial service statement have died after retiral before receiving a remedial service statement?

Response

1. To date no remedial service statements have been issued to retired members. The plans for when they will be issued can be found on the SPPA website at the following link: Police Remedy: I'm retired | SPPA (pensions.gov.scot).

2. 55 officers due a remedial service statement have died after retiral before receiving a remedial service statement. This is based on record status as of 5th February 2024.
