Transport Scotland spend on foreign trips: FOI release

Information requested
Information on how much Transport Scotland has spent on foreign trips (visits outside of Scotland) in each of the last five financial years, including the number of staff on each trip, the location, the reason for the trip, and the total cost of each trip.
Response
I enclose a copy of most of the information you requested in the attached excel spreadsheet.
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because an exemption under section 17: Information not held applies. This is due to the information contained within the attachment being produced by our travel management system which did not begin collecting the reasons for travel until 2019.
