Response
The document attached, YPFBS Year 1 Evaluation Data Breakdown, contains the breakdown of the data you have requested regarding Figures 2, 3 and 4 from the Young Persons’ Free Bus Travel Scheme Year 1 Evaluation.
I have also attached the document, YPFBS Data to end Feb 24, which is the latest data we have available covering the period from launch on 31 January 2022 to 29 February 2024. Please note that as population figures in the 2022 Census are expected to show significant changes in a number of local authority areas, estimates for the concessionary travel schemes cannot be accurately reported until full Census data is released and therefore we do not currently report on uptake figures.
For all the data provided regarding number of Cardholders, please note:
- This data is supplied by the National Entitlement Card Programme Office (NECPO).
- The data refers to the number of people with a valid card but does not include products which either start in the future or have expired.
- NECPO are working with stakeholders and partners to carry out a data cleansing exercise of the customer database which may impact cardholder numbers when records are updated.
For all the data regarding journeys, please note:
- A smart journey recorded against a valid product that has been received and processed for payment by Transport Scotland.
- Journeys are based on the local authority in which the card was issued, therefore some journeys willhave been undertaken out with the local authority area.
- This data is subject to change due to late data being received.
