Information requested

Please quantify the budget reduction in the provision of affordable homes announced within the budget. I believe the figure reported in the press is £196 million but, I would like this confirmed via a request under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

Response

The 2024-2025 budget represents a decrease of £196.1 million when compared to the 2023-2024 Affordable Housing Supply Programme budget of £751.945 million. This is a decrease of £74.7 million capital grant and a decrease of £121.4 million in financial transactions.
