Information requested

This is a follow up request reference 202400404952. Please can you provide the minutes of the meetings conducted by Fergus Ewing MSP with Greenbelt Group LTD that are documented in the above request. There are 4 meetings listed in the previous request and I would like, if possible, minutes for each.

I enclose a copy of most of the information you requested.

I enclose a copy of the minutes for two of the meetings held in Edinburgh dated 12 September 2007 and 7 October 2009.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because an exemption under section 38(1)(b) (personal information) of FOISA applies to that information. This exemption means the personal data, the disclosure of which would contravene data protection principles, is redacted. Personal data includes all information that relates to an individual, and includes identifiers such as name, address, and date of birth. In this instance Scottish Government officials’ names have been redacted in the two documents.

This exemption is not subject to the 'public interest test', so we are not required to consider if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption. No minutes were produced for the two meetings held on 21 and 25 June 2010 at Kippendavie and Milton of Leys. Whilst the Minister met with Greenbelt Group Ltd representatives during these site visits. These meetings were held for the benefit of the Minister to be advised of the management and maintenance obligations associated with each site and were informal.
