Scottish Government printing costs: FOI release

Information requested

Details of spending on printing services for each of the last five years. This information should include:

1) The cost for officials within the Scottish Government to print one side of A4 in both colour and black and white;

2) The total amount spent across Government on printing each year since 2018/19. Following clarification, you confirmed that for question 1 you were interested in the associated cost of sending a page to an MFD printer. For question 2, you confirmed that you wanted the overall printing spend for both MFD / Commercial printing across government/ public sector since 2018/2019.

Response

In respect of question 1, SG only notes the current cost per page figures for Ricoh printers being used within a secure printing solution. The current range, which varies depending on the Ricoh printer model used, is as follows:

Monochrome	£0.0025 - £0.0029
