Teacher numbers and offer of grant letters: FOI release

Information requested

I would like to receive all communications from Scottish Government officials and Ministers on the subject of teacher numbers this month (April 2024) – as well as the responses to those communications.

In particular I would like to receive:

- the offer of grant letters sent to every local authority education director from the Scottish Government detailing their teacher number targets for this year, the terms of the grant and the level of grant they can expect if they hit target
- any responses received by the Scottish Government to date to the offer of grant letters
- any communications between the Scottish Government and council umbrella body, Cosla, on the subject of teacher numbers this month (April 2024) and the offer of grant letters
