Repairs and reported faults on the Southbound carriageway of the A92: EIR release

Information requested

You asked for "detailed repairs and their exact locations on the Southbound carriageway of the A92 between the following two coordinates 57°04'37.3"N 2°07'15.4"W and 57°04'19.8"N 2°07'29.8"W in the last 18 months.

Also all reported defects on the Southbound carriageway between the same two coordinates in the last 18 months."

Response

An exception under regulation 11(2) of the EIRs (personal information) applies to some of the information requested because it is personal data of a third party and disclosing it would contravene the data protection principles in Article 5(1) of the General Data Protection Regulation and in section 34(1) of the Data Protection Act 2018. This exception is not subject to the 'public interest test', so we are not required to consider if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exception.

Permanent = the area around a pothole being cut out and patched with hot lay material

Temporary = the defect is made safe pending a permanent repair
