Information requested
The most recent Government Actuary Department early retirement figures for NHS pension schemes, specifically the reduction factors for years/months for the 1995, 2008 and 2015 NHS schemes.
Response
The Government Actuary Department (GAD) conducted a review of factors used across public service pension schemes including the NHS Pension Scheme (Scotland) in 2023. Please find attached an Excel spreadsheet containing each updated 2023 NHS Scotland early retirement factor for each section of the scheme (1995/2008 and 2015). Factors are supplied in table format only, as the updated supporting actuarial guidance will not be available until late 2024.
