Alcohol and Drugs Support South West Scotland funding: FOI release

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

Information requested

1. Is Alcohol and Drugs Support South West Scotland in receipt of funding from the Scottish Government?

2. If this organisation is in receipt of Government funding, please confirm the level of funding since 2018 (the year minimum pricing came into effect), with a break-down of the funding given to that organisation for each year to 2024.

3. Please confirm whether a condition of funding approval at any time since 2018 is that the organisation must publicly (or otherwise) support the policy of minimum unit pricing and where that is the case, please provide the specific wording of the condition(s).

Response

All of the information you have requested is available from Alcohol and Drug Partnerships: funding allocations - gov.scot (www.gov.scot).

Under section 25(1) of FOISA, we do not have to give you information which is already reasonably accessible to you. If, however, you do not have internet access to obtain this information from the website listed, then please contact me again and I will send you a paper copy.

With regard to the third question of your request to ‘confirm whether a condition of funding approval at any time since 2018 is that the organisation must publicly (or otherwise) support the policy of minimum unit pricing and where that is the case, provide the specific wording of the condition(s)', I can confirm that the funding approval and terms of funding did not contain any conditions in relation to the organisation’s support for the Minimum Unit Pricing policy.
