Private residential landlord and property statistics: FOI release

Information requested

1. How many private residential landlords there were registered on the landlord registration database each month from Jan 2023 to the present.

2. How many private residential properties there were registered on the landlord registration database for each month from Jan 2023 to the present.

3. How the properties were distributed by landlord. That is, numbers of landlords with 1 property, numbers with 2 properties, and so on.

4. Breakdowns of this information by local authority.

Please note that these figures are taken from the Landlord Registration System, which is an administrative system used primarily to manage the registration of landlords and rental properties, and has not been designed to produce robust statistical figures on the sector.
