2024 UEFA European Football Championship tickets received by Scottish Ministers: FOI release

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002

Information requested

How many gift or allocated tickets to Scotland football matches at the Euro 24 competition did Scottish Government Ministers receive?

Response

I can confirm that one Scottish Minister attended each of the Scotland group stage matches. These tickets were received from UEFA as part of an allocation specifically for Government representatives of the countries involved in matches. This enabled the First Minister to attend the opening group match against Germany, the Minister for Social Care, Mental Wellbeing and Sport, Maree Todd, to attend the second group match in Cologne, and the Cabinet Secretary for Constitution, External Affairs and Culture, Angus Robertson, to attend the final group match in Stuttgart.

Further detail regarding these Ministerial visits will be proactively published here: Ministerial engagements, travel and gifts - gov.scot (www.gov.scot).
