Information requested
You [Scottish Government] previously answered this FOI:
Football banning orders issued in Scotland statistics: FOI release - gov.scot (www.gov.scot).
Please repeat it to reflect the current situation (in terms of the club-by-club statistics) and please give overall statistics for seasons 2021/22, 22/23 and 23/24.
Response
The Scottish Government is not responsible for the collation of information on Football Banning Orders (FBOs) across Scotland. Police Scotland is the responsible body for collating and holding this information so we strongly advise that you contact them to obtain final figures for the years you are interested in. For this information Police Scotland can be contacted at foiglasgow@scotland.pnn.police.uk.
From our files we have identified that the Scottish Government holds the following information regarding the overall number of FBOs in seasons 2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23 and 2023/24. As the previous request covered up to season 2019/20 but not 2020/21 we have included that season for completeness. It is important to note that this information was provided by Police Scotland and covers the period up to 30 September 2023. The figures for the 2023/24 season are therefore not the final figures for this season. I can confirm that the Scottish Government does not hold any further information on FBOs relating to this season. As noted above, for further information on this you would be best advised to contact Police Scotland directly.
FBOs issued per season (2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23 and 2023/24 - figures for each season from 1st June to 31st May)
The below table highlights the overall number of FBOs issued (on conviction) for the last three seasons as requested and also for 2020/21.
