*Within your covering email, you have indicated that this funding refers to “an article published 10/07/24 in a tabloid, [where] it was stated that the SNP should have received around £21.7 million of long Covid funding in Barnett Consequential’s”.

The answer to your question is that as outlined in our answer to Parliamentary Question S6W-24049 on 11 January 2024, no Barnett consequentials have been received by the Scottish Government specifically noted as relating to long COVID.

The table below provides a breakdown of expenditure from the £10 million Long COVID Support Fund over 2022-23 and 2023-24 by funding recipients. Additionally, as of 11 July 2024, a total of £2,077,367 has been allocated to organisations from the fund over 2024-25. The final amount spent by these organisations will only be known at the end of the financial year.
The Scottish Government remains committed to delivering the £10 million Long COVID Support Fund in full, and we anticipate that the remainder of the funding will be allocated within the financial years 2024-2025 and 2025-2026.
