Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

Information requested

1. Could you detail the current progress on a number of major new segregation infrastructure projects, and how much they have cost so far, and the original budget and deadlines for them:

  • South City Way in Glasgow
  • Connecting Woodside

Response

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested. This is because Glasgow City Council is the lead organisation for delivery of the projects you list, with the Scottish Government supporting these projects through providing part of the total funding allocation through the Sustrans Places for Everyone programme, managed and administered by Sustrans. The Scottish Government therefore does not hold information on latest total project costs, and original Glasgow City Council budgets and deadlines. You may wish to contact Glasgow City Council for this information.

This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested.

Regarding current project progress, I can confirm that the construction phase of the South City Way project is now complete. Information relating to Connecting Woodside progress is accessible from the Glasgow City Council website: Connecting Woodside - Glasgow City Council

While we do not hold some information related to your request, it may be useful for you to have the latest information regarding the total Scottish Government funding support provided via the Sustrans Places for Everyone Fund to the projects that you have highlighted . This is presented in the table below:
