Ukrainian people arriving into Scotland statistics: FOI release

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002

Information requested

To confirm the number of Ukrainians who have moved to Scotland, since war broke out.

Response

I can confirm the number of Ukrainians who have arrived in the United Kingdom since the war in Ukraine started is 47,796 of which 9,492 are sponsored by individuals and a further 38,304 are sponsored by the Scottish Government. Once arrived in the UK we do not track or monitor their movements.

The information is available on our website and you can find a link to the relevant page here. Our data pertains to those who have arrived under Scotland’s Super Sponsor Scheme and not via any other route.

It may be helpful to know this data is currently updated monthly and will allow you to keep track of any changes.

We do not have data to confirm what proportion of those on the Family Scheme or Work Visa extensions are in Scotland.
