Information requested
The number of support staff in each Director General and Directors office broken down by grade and the name of the offices of each director general and director.
Response
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government cannot summarise the information you have requested. This is because there is not a common understanding of which staff would be considered support staff amongst all of the Scottish Government's Director General and Directors offices.
However, we have provided a spreadsheet which includes a full list of all Scottish Government staff by Job title, working grade and organisational structure, which includes Directorate General, Directorate, Division and Branch in order to provide a complete overview of the workforce.
The data has been extracted from Scottish governments HR systems and is in line with the latest published official workforce statistics available here Scottish Government workforce information - gov.scot (www.gov.scot). The data is based on the position as at 31 March 2024.
