Information requested

All correspondence between Scottish Councils and Scottish Ministers, from April 2023 to date, relating to the Chancellor's £63m swimming pool fund and any Barnett consequentials stemming from that in 2023/24.

Response

I enclose a copy of some of the information you requested. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information because an exemption under section S.38(1)(b) Personal Information of FOISA applies to that information.

This exemption prevents us releasing the personal information of officials who are below the rank of Senior Civil Servant and is not subject to the 'public interest test', so we are not required to consider if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption.
