I have now completed my review of our failure to respond to your request under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA) for details of how many criminals were subjected to electronic monitoring (tagging) measures in each of the last five years, including information on the number of those aged under 18, and a breakdown of males and females.

In accordance with section 21(4) of FOISA, I have also reached a decision on your request.

Please accept my apology for the delay in responding to your original request. This was due to an administrative error whereby the request was not immediately forwarded to our team.

I can now provide our response to your original request. The information requested is set out in the table below, showing the data for each of the last 5 financial years. The number of monitored persons under the age of 18 is also incorporated within the previous figures provided.
