Pathway Security Program Pilots funding for the Scottish Public Sector: FOI release

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

Information requested

1. The level of funding provided by the Scottish Government to HEFESTIS to deliver the Pathway Security Program Pilots for the Scottish Public Sector supported by the Scottish Cyber Coordination Centre.
2. The additional funding proposed for the Phase 2 of this programme.
3. Copies of the procurement tender documents including award notices for this programme.

Response

In responding to the request I point out that the Hefestis Pathway Project has not been subject to a tendered procurement. It has been treated under our Grant Proposal process given that Hefestis approached the Scottish Government with their proposal for consideration relating to supporting delivery against a Framework for a Cyber Resilient Scotland as opposed to the Scottish Government seeking to procure a service.

With regards to the project it has been funded in two phases as set out below.

2023/24
HEFESTIS Pathway Project Pilot - Phase 1

  • Grant offered – up to £83,700
  • Grant claimed - £40,596.75

2024/25
Hefestis Pathway Project Phase II

  • Grant offered – up to £293,500
  • Grant claimed to date – nil

Attached are the Grant Proposal documents and Grant Offer Letters in relation to both of the phases.

Redactions have been applied to personal data under sec 38(1) (b) of FOISA.
