The amount spent by the Scottish Government to cover the legal costs of survivors applying to Scotland's Redress Scheme.

Response

The answer to your question is since the Scheme began operating until the date of your request the Scottish Government have made 544 legal payments with a total value of £1,186,015.22.

During this period, the Scottish Government received around 4,400 applications.
