Direction to local authorities regarding Flood Risk Management (Scotland) Act 2009: EIR release

“I am looking to establish whether the Scottish Ministers have made a direction to local authorities which sets the date by which maps of bodies of water must be prepared under Section 17 of the Flood Risk Management (Scotland) Act 2009.

Section 17(2)(a) of that Act states that:

• (2) Each map must—
• (a) be prepared by such date as the Scottish Ministers may direct…

I would be grateful if you could please confirm whether a direction has been issued by the Scottish Ministers to local authorities relating to Section 17(2)(a) of the 2009 Act.”
