Number of accidents on the B939 Strathkiness Crossroads in Fife: FOI release

Information requested

Data and statistics in relation to the number of accidents that have occurred on the B939 Strathkiness Crossroads in Fife.

If possible can I request a breakdown of the severity of accidents to show how many fatalities?

I would like this data to go back as far as possible if possible as I am aware that this junction (crossroads) was identified in 1955 as being notorious for accidents and was one of the first roads in Scotland to have the accident black spot sign erected as per an article I read dated 28th November 1955 in a local newspaper.

The records we hold relate to collisions where someone is injured or killed, and which become known to Police Scotland. Therefore, we do not hold information on non-injury collisions. Our computer records for injury road collisions only go as far back as 1979 and there are no individual records prior to that. The following table provides figures for injury collisions and casualties from these collisions recorded by Police Scotland as taking place at the Strathkiness crossroads. There have been no fatalities and there were no collisions at the crossroads prior to 1987.
