Information requested
The reason that the following individuals have been granted a Scottish Government pass:
- an individual seconded from Burness Paul LLP to the Directorate for Energy and Climate Change for the Energy Industries division and business area
- two individuals seconded from Burness Paul LLP to the Directorate for Energy and Climate Change for the Energy Industries division and Critical Energy Infrastructure and Commercial Projects business area
Please provide the reason they were granted a pass, what were they are conducting for the Scottish Government, any specific individual energy infrastructure or commercial projects they have advised on or assisted the Scottish Government with and which Scottish Ministers they have met, and any minutes of those meetings since their secondment to the Scottish Government.
Response
Individuals from Burness Paull LLP (“Burness Paull”) were seconded to the Directorate for Energy and Climate Change to provide support on a wide range of downstream oil and gas, low carbon technologies, and renewables technology workstreams being undertaken by the Directorate. The individuals supported officials with work pertaining, but not limited, to the Scottish Industrial Energy Transformation Fund, the Emerging Energies Technology Fund, and the Hydrogen Innovation Fund.
The secondees in question were granted access to SG buildings to enable them to collaborate in person with the teams they were supporting.
No Burness Paull secondees met Scottish Ministers during their secondment to the Scottish Government.
