Information requested
All documentation held by the Scottish Government, including correspondence sent and received, (including internal), briefings, minutes/notes and analysis, about Maree Todd's ministerial trip to see Skerryvore on July 20 2024, between March 1 2024 and the date of this FOI.
Response
The Ministerial trip to see Skerryvore on 20 July 2024 was part of a wider programme of events when Maree Todd MSP Minister for Social Care, Mental Wellbeing and Sport attending the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race in Oban. The Ministerial engagement included a varied programme of events, including the concert, which highlighted the benefits of hosting a sporting event to Oban.
We are aware that the official public record suggests that Ms Todd attended the Skerryvore concert on 20 July 2024 in Oban. For context, we can confirm that Ms Todd attended the pre-concert reception at the venue and left following the reception. Ms Todd did not attend the concert.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because an exemption(s) under section38(1)(b) (personal information) of FOISA applies to that information.
An exemption(s) under Section 33(1)(b) Substantial prejudice to commercial interests of FOISA applies to some of the information you have requested. This exemption is subject to the 'public interest test'. Therefore, taking account of all the circumstances of this case, we have considered if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption.
We have found that, on balance, the public interest lies in favour of upholding the exemption. We recognise that there is some public interest in release as you may wish to receive the complete document. However, this is outweighed by the public interest in releasing this information is likely to, prejudice substantially the commercial interests of the organisation
