Brand Scotland campaign approval documentation: FOI release

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

Information requested

All correspondence and documentation held by the Scottish Government concerning the approval of the script for this particular video.

Response

I enclose a copy of some of the information you requested.

The answer to your question is that the process of approving this campaign is the only document that could be found on the system, and we were unable to source the Ministerial response to it. All further conversations were not held by the Scottish Government as funding was approved for Scottish Enterprise to develop in tandem with the Leith Agency. Due to the request being over 4 years after the materials were developed, any email chains would be out of scope and not found via searches.

An exemption(s) under section(s) s.38(1)(b)] of FOISA applies to some of the information you have requested. This relates to personal information of an official involved in the process.

This exemption is not subject to the 'public interest test', so we are not required to consider if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption.
