Information requested

How much funding the Scottish Government has set aside to loan to football supporter groups and what guarantees are there in terms of repayments.

Response

The answer to your questions is that we have planned for up to £500,000 loan funding per annum to be available for investment in suitable proposals through the Fan Bank. As with any loan application, we will assess the organisation in terms of their set up and financial situation before a loan is offered. We will of course remain in contact with the supporter organisation, throughout the life time of the loan, and work with them if there appears to be an issue relating to the repayment.
