Introduction

The Victim Notification Scheme (VNS) was reviewed to make sure it works well for victims.

Thank you to the people who wrote the report, and people who talked about the review, especially victims.

This paper is our response to the review. It sets out how we plan to change the VNS.

We will also explain our plans to make the justice system better. We want to make sure Scotland’s justice system has people and their needs at its heart.
