Gender Recognition Reform: FOI release

Information requested

1. All recorded correspondence between the First Minister and other Scottish Government Ministers regarding the Gender Recognition Reform. (All correspondence refers to any correspondence in written or email form regarding the Gender Recognition Reform bill between October 20th 2022 until present day)
2. All engagements in the First Minister’s diary between October 20th 2022 until present day that related to the Gender Recognition Reform Bill. Please include all information about each engagement.

Response

1. From October 20 2022 to 08 December 2022, no correspondence between the First Minister and other Scottish Government Ministers exists regarding the Gender Recognition Reform. To clarify, Ministerial responsibility for the Bill is in the portfolio of Shona Robison as Cabinet Secretary for Social Justice, Housing and Local Government.
   
   With a view to being helpful, you may wish to note the response to a similar request, regarding the resignation of Ash Regan, ref: FOI 202200327791, currently awaiting publication on the Scottish Government Website.
    
2. You are able to examine Ministerial Diaries to see what meetings have been taken by Ministers over the past year. Details of all Ministerial engagements are proactively published by the Scottish Government.
