Genomics in Scotland strategy: child rights and wellbeing impact assessment - stage 1 and 2

This document is an initial assessment of the impact of Genomics in Scotland: Building our Future. A five-year national strategy (2024-2029) and Scottish Government will continue to review and update this document where required during the strategic decision-making process. Any future iterations will reflect an increased understanding of these impacts as the amount of data and research available continues to grow.

This impact assessment should be read in conjunction with the series of impact assessments led by the Scottish Government in support of the Genomics in Scotland Strategy. These are: Business and Regulatory Impact Assessment, Equality Impact Assessment Record and Results (EQIA), Island Communities Impact Assessment (ICIA) and the Fairer Duty Scotland (FDS) Summary.
