Government replacement boiler schemes: FOI release

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

Information requested

You asked how many applications were made for help with either boiler replacement on its own; or boiler replacement along with cavity wall installation.

You also asked how many of these applications were successfully installed; statistics for new heating systems recommended and completed by WHS; and statistics for the amount of applications recommended then NOT completed by WHS over the period previously stated.

You requested the same statistics for replacement boilers and replacement boilers with cavity wall installations, carried out and paid for from any Government schemes, in particular in the Albert Quadrant, Holytown Motherwell between 01/04/2022 and 01/01/2023.

Response

Warmer Homes Scotland does not record a breakdown of potential measures within referral applications. When referrals are made to Warmer Homes Scotland, it is not until the survey stage has been completed that Warmworks can establish which measures are suitable for each property.

The total number of referrals received by Warmer Homes Scotland during the period 1st April 2022 to 1st January 2023 was 7,720.

I have responded to the further information that you requested in the tables below.

Please note that the total number of applications reported in table one (4,680) is different to the total reported in table 2 (4,119). This is due to some customers journeys being incomplete and still processing through the system.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide detailed statistics for Albert Quadrant, Holytown, Motherwell. This because there is an exemption under section 38(1)

(b) personal information of FOISA. The reasons why that exemption applies are explained in the Annex to this letter.
