Grangemouth Industrial Just Transition Plan: screening determination

Statement confirming that the Grangemouth Industrial Just Transition Plan is unlikely to have significant environmental effects.

The Scottish Government Directorate for Energy and Climate Change confirms that the Government has determined, using the criteria set out in Schedule 2 of the Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005, that the Grangemouth Industrial Just Transition Plan is unlikely to have significant environmental effects. Responses from the Consultation Authorities were received in October 2024, whose overall opinion was that the Plan was unlikely to have significant environmental effects. A Strategic Environmental Assessment is therefore not required.

The following determination advert will be placed in the Herald newspaper, and SEA consultation authorities have been notified of this determination.
