1. Community engagement in making local development plans (LDPs) is a legal right. Changes to Scottish planning law have been made by the Planning (Scotland) Act 2019 to help people be more involved in decisions about their places that affect them. The Local development planning guidance provides details about community engagement across the stages of Plan Preparation.

2. Adopted in 2019, this agreement sets out a way of working in collaboration across sectors and organisations, and with communities, to achieve better outcomes for local places and local people. What is the Place Principle?
