Healthcare Science in Scotland: Defining Our Strategic Approach: Fairer Scotland Impact Assessment
The Healthcare Science in Scotland: Defining our Strategic Approach was introduced by the Scottish Government to develop healthcare science in Scotland. This sets out a vision and ambitions for the profession, and also the key themes in which future work will be undertaken.
Stage 4: Decision
What changes if any will be made to the proposal as a result of the assessment?
What are these changes being made and what are the expected outcomes?
If no changes are proposed, please explain why.
No changes will be made to the programme/proposal but the need for future consideration of Fairer Scotland duties has been re-affirmed.
It is not possible, due to the nature of the paper, for further detail in relation to addressing inequalities to be included. The paper does not detail specific actions or recommendations – it is primarily to set the parameters for future work.
An impact assessment relating to ‘Fairer Scotland’ will be carried out as part of future work under the key themes outlined in this paper. This will sit alongside other impact assessments and consideration will be given to how these interact with each other.
