Housing Need and Demand Assessment (HNDA) tool
An Excel model which uses NRS's 2016-based household projections, Scottish Government income estimates, Registers of Scotland house prices and Scottish Government private rent prices to produce long-run, broad estimates of additional future housing required across Scotland including: owner occupation, private rent, below market rent and social rent.
The Housing Need and Demand Assessment (HNDA) tool was refreshed in October 2018. The guidance sets out what's new in version 3.0 of the tool.
You can continue to use the previous version 2.3.3 of the HNDA tool if you wish.
Please download and save a copy of the Tool to your operating system before you run the Tool. This may be necessary in some cases because the Tool contains Macros.
