Human rights of children in Scotland: report - child friendly version
Child friendly/easy read version of our action plan 2021 to 2024 progress report.
12. Conclusion
The new UNCRC Act says that the Scottish Government should write a plan called a Children’s Rights Scheme. This should say what the Scottish Government will do to do what the UNCRC Act says it must to protect children’s rights and make it even easier for children to access their human rights.
We are working with children’s rights organisations and children and young people to develop the Children’s Rights Scheme. This will be ready in early 2025.
We will also write a report about all that we are doing to help children experience their rights. We will publish this in 2026.
