Inclusion health action in general practice: equality impact assessment
The equality impact assessment for the inclusion health action in general practice project.
Monitoring and Evaluation
We have developed a robust monitoring and evaluation plan, with ongoing in-house monitoring of practice activity and an independent qualitative evaluation of IHAGP’s first year which will be published in July 2024. The findings from the rapid external evaluation carried out by The Lines Between research consultancy support the continuation of IHAGP. The evidence shows:
- positive early impacts on patients, on individual staff and on practices’ ways of working;
- demonstrates the potential for further impact building on current foundations;
- and provides useful lessons for the future.
We have established a IHAGP Steering Group that oversees delivery of, and provides governance for, the programme, to help ensure that:
- the project is being delivered as intended;
- nationally we have the evidence needed for accountability and learning;
- support and resources are available to participating practices.
We will continue to monitor, evaluate and review IHAGP.
Monitoring is also required of IHAGP as a Pathfinder in the Preventative and Proactive Care Programme within the SG Care and Wellbeing Portfolio.
