Dear Tayside Executive Partners
Meeting - Independent Oversight and Assurance Group and Tayside Executive Partners - Tuesday 16 November
Thank you for the positive early discussions that we’ve had since I was appointed Chair of the Independent Oversight and Assurance Group on Tayside Mental Health Services. Along with Fraser McKinlay and David Williams, I look forward to continuing to work with you all.
I want to now set out the business for the first meeting between the Independent Oversight and Assurance Group and the Tayside Executive Partnership which takes place on Tuesday 16 November. The agenda is attached. The Secretariat have already advised you that the meeting is scheduled from 13:30-15:30 and will take place in Dundee on this occasion, at the City Council offices.
At the meeting, my intention is to share the Independent Oversight and Assurance Group’s programme of work. Our first priority is on gaining a realistic sense of progress and to discuss with you, how we can best achieve that. We will also set out for you, how the Independent Oversight and Assurance Group wants to receive information going forward.
In the course of this work, the Independent Oversight and Assurance Group will focus on working with you, the Tayside Executive Partnership, given your ownership of the recommendations from the Independent Inquiry. There are other key stakeholder groups who we will also want to talk to and it is important that we hear from you on the most useful way to do this.
Please contact me if you have any queries ahead of the meeting. Otherwise, I look forward to seeing you on 16 November.
Best wishes.
Fiona Lees
