Independent Review of Adult Disability Payment: consultation - easy read

The Chair of the Independent Review of Adult Disability Payment is consulting on people's views about the first year of delivery. This will be used to help inform recommendations to ensure that Adult Disability Payment meets the needs of disabled people.

Section 9 – Review periods and indefinite awards

Social Security Scotland looks again at whether people can still get Adult Disability Payment at certain times.

This is called a review.

A review makes sure people get the right amount of Adult Disability Payment.

Some people don’t need reviews of their payments if their needs are highly unlikely to change.

This is called an indefinite award. You may be told that your payments will not be reviewed unless you tell Social Security Scotland about a change.
