Economic statistics for industry sectors in Scotland.

The Industry Statistics Database provides a range of economic statistics for industry sectors in Scotland.

The industry sectors are largely defined using Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) 2007 codes. SIC codes are used to classify business establishments by the main type of economic activity in which they are engaged.

The Industry Statistics Database has been developed from the Growth Sector Statistics Database (which focused on six key sectors). The Industry Statistics Database is a work in progress and we would welcome your suggestions for other potential indicators and sectors to add to the collection.
