Inspection of air-conditioning systems: operational framework
Framework which organisations who are tasked with inspecting air-conditioning systems over 12kw must adhere to.
Directive 2010/31/EU requires that Member States ensure that organisations who carry out inspections of air-conditioning systems over 12kw are qualified to do so.
The framework set out in this document details the operating requirements that we expect organisations to adhere to in order to be accredited.
The operating processes that organisations are expected to follow are split into four broad areas:
- integrity and operational resilience
- accreditation of inspectors
- administer the operation of inspectors
- maintain records to facilitate effective operation of the scheme and periodic audit by the Scottish Government
