IPM: support available in Scotland

Agricultural support in Scotland is changing from 2025 through the Agricultural Reform Programme.

The Agricultural Reform Route Map shows the changes recipients of agricultural support will be expected to make in 2025 and what to expect in 2026. It includes information on important dates when current schemes will transition or end, the support available, and how to prepare for these first changes from 2025.

The Whole Farm Plan and the accompanying quick guide provides information and guidance for farmers and crofters on the new rules applying to agricultural payments in Scotland. This includes a specific section on IPM which details what minimum standards there are and how completing a plan can help farmers comply with their legal requirement to take reasonable precautions to reduce risks to human health, the environment and biodiversity when using pesticides.

In addition, Scotland’s Farm Advisory Service (FAS) provides information and resources aimed at increasing the profitability and sustainability of farms and crofts.  This includes a range of articles, videos, publications and useful links which are designed to provide integrated advice for farmers and crofters across Scotland.
