The event brought together international experts from the aquaculture industry, academia, research providers and Government to identify research priorities and gaps and opportunities for collaboration and funding.
The aim of the event was to provide a better understanding of what research is currently carried out in Scotland, how it is funded, what research is required and how this can be provided to promote sustainable aquaculture. The programme of wide ranging presentations in the morning was followed by a participant orientated session in the afternoon to identify research priorities.
Speakers included experts from main UK research funders, research institutions and the aquaculture industry.
