Unemployment estimates
The estimated unemployment rate for people aged 16 years and over in Scotland was 3.9 per cent in June to August 2024. This is 0.9 percentage points down over the quarter and 1.0 percentage point down over the year.
The estimated UK unemployment rate was 4.0 per cent in June to August 2024. This is 0.4 percentage points down on the quarter and 0.2 percentage points down over the year.
